I was born in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Have resided in the Portland Metro area for 9 years. After graduating from Douglas McKay high school in Salem, enlisted in the US Army in 1993 and served for 12 years. I have been landscape industry since 2008. I enjoy annual trips to Hawaii with my wife and community projects like “Building Portland Better” using the trade to better serve the community. I would like to travel to Southeast Asia for a year to explore and understand new cultures.
I joined the ValleyScapes team in the spring of 2017. I bring 10 years of landscape maintenance experience to the team. My husband and I recently re-located to Troutdale from northern California. When I am not working, I love spending time with my husband and 2 dogs. On weekends, I can be found hiking in the gorge, checking out a new pizzeria or brewery, or training for a half marathon. I enjoy exploring new areas, whether it’s a local hidden gem or overseas. I would like to visit Lambeau Field one day… GO PACKERS!
I was Born and raised in the Portland area. Entered the landscape field in 1988. I spent 3 years working with landscapes in San Diego broadening my horticultural awareness. Away from work my wife, dogs and I travel around the state searching for great dog trails, creeks to splash in, and the perfect dog stick. My drive in landscaping is multi-fold. I strive to provide knowledge and awareness to my teams and clients while producing aesthetically pleasing and sustainable landscapes and building great relationships.
The future may include more time in Kona Hawaii learning about landscape challenges there.
